Hello Liz,We have our camera set up in Students Accounts. We charge a fee ($15.00) for a replacement card, so it seemed like a good spot for them to get their ID card. Plus, when they are here for their orientation, they receive their ID card and their bill, if they have a balance.Best,
We have three offices for our ID Card Services operation. Our main office has three production stations and the staff there also handles Dining Plans.
Office #2 is shared with Parking Services (one production station) but located within our Barnes and Nobles store.
Office #3 is just ID cards (one production station).
Hope this helps!

We've been quite a few places in the last few years. We spent over a decade in our own office in the Student Center.
In 2012 we moved to being collocated with the Bookstore so that we could reduce our overhead by having the Bookstore employees take care of much of the day-to-day ID card activities (deposits, replacements, new cards, etc.)
When our bookstore was outsourced last spring we moved the office to our Wellness Center (gym) and their desk managers took over those day-to-day activities. This has worked very well as that facility is open 7 days a week, from early until late, so students do like that a lot.

We've used Atrium since 2013. It's worked well for us. For historical reasons we do not have it directly integrated with our access control systems, but it has very robust functionality and great customer service.
My security department is in charge of all aspects of access control and issuance of ID cards so at both of our campuses the cards are issued at the security department. On our main campus security is 24 hours a day so a student/staff can always get a new ID. We do not charge for lost IDs so we don't have to worry about payment. Our security department is very visible near the main entrance on campus and conveniently located for students. We are getting ready to make our ID cards more broadly used, (declining balance, roll call...) but security will remain in charge of the issuance of them.
