What Post Office Mail Processing Software Do You Use?

    Hello Everyone,

Our College Post Office is self-operated and students pick up their packages from the window, and their mail from their individual mailboxes.  We would like to obtain a system that notifies students when their letters and packages arrive, enables us to store and retrieve these items, and present them to students at the window upon request.  We are interested to learn of other available features as well, such as junk mail filtering, etc.  Finally, we'd like to learn the approximate cost of various systems.  Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated!

    Many thanks,

    Tony

    Hi Tony -

At Presbyterian College, Neopost is our partner and the Web Tracking System works well for communicating the arrival of mail and packages to students, staff and faculty.  Last month, our mail center converted from individual po boxes to a high density folder system for flat mail and there were no additional software or hardware needed.

Feel free to email me for any additional information.

    With Blue Hose pride,

    Jason

My third-party providers have used Notifii and are beginning an implementation of QTrak.

In 2015 we removed all our PO boxes and replaced with nearly 500 intelligent lockers by TZ which are centrally located in the main Post Office and students have 24/7 access to them.   We utilize SC Logic package tracking system to manage; mail forwarding, mail notification, package notification, route delivery stops, on-line tracking, and mail box assignments. We also have over 7K virtual mail boxes that we use for students, faculty and staff.

    Hi Tony,

At Hamilton College we use a Package tracking system called SqBx.  It is simple and easy to use and we use it mainly for package tracking.

We may be starting a search for a vendor that could potentially support Mobile Credentialing as SqBx currently does not.  If you would like additional information on it please feel free to reach out.

    Hi Tony,

At Morehead State we use a basic package software called QTRAK. It is a very simple process of scanning incoming packages from USPS, UPS and Fed Ex with an iPad. QTRAK has the capability of linking up to our student and staff data base, so emails notifications can be sent to the student/staff upon scanning that there package(s) are ready for pick up at the University Post Office. The cost of the software is about $2900 per year. If you need any additional information please don't hesitate to contact me.
