    Each summer Shepherd University hosts the Contemporary American Theater Festival on our campus.  We house actors, directors, production, and support staff in our apartments and residence halls.  Festival performances, which include six plays, are performed in our theaters across campus throughout the month of July with total attendance of around 20,000.  This has been an ongoing relationship for the past 25 years at Shepherd.

    I am interested in hearing from any campuses that have ongoing sports or theatrical festivals over your summer schedule and if you have any revenue sharing agreements with those organizations.  For example, does your university collect x% of festival net or gross revenues?

    Hi John,
    We have several internal coaches that have summer camps and we do not charge them the standard rental fee we would charge an outside group, instead we charge them a % of their net revenue. Please let me know if you have any questions.

    At our University, we have a minimum daily rental fee that is dependent upon the location/field utilized. If that amount is not met then we take a percentage of the total gross revenues collected. This is currently under review by us as it has not been updated in 5+ years.
