Scooters on campus

    Good morning colleagues!
Our University has been contacted by Lime Scooters in an effort to allow their scooters on campus. Currently our University does not allow them. I have a few questions for those that do allow scooters on campus. I am also interested in feedback from members that declined the service on their campus.

    1. Do you have designated areas where the scooters must be parked?
    2. Are scooters only allowed in certain areas of the campus (scooter free zones)?
    3. Do you have any type revenue sharing agreement or other consideration with the scooter company?
    4. If you have a written agreement, are you willing to share?
    5. Any feedback on this topic is welcomed.

    Hey Reggie!

Those are all great questions and it's great to see you working to build a strong foundation before you implement the scooters. I recommend you keep an eye on our upcoming webinar on June 18th, 3 PM ET, on Electric Scooters, where the Assistant Director of Administration and Transportation at University of Texas - Austin will be discussing best practices and policies for keeping students safe while allowing them another option to navigate campuses. Hopefully we'll see you there!
